For more than 25 years, Dave Stout has been writing, performing, and staying true to the music that first inspired him.

Raised in the small glass-town community of Jeannette, Pennsylvania, just east of Pittsburgh, Dave received his first guitar from his grandfather at age 17. It didn't take long for him to begin writing his own songs, drawing inspiration from legendary artists such as Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, and Bob Dylan. Their influence can still be heard today in his honest storytelling, heartfelt lyrics, and deep respect for traditional American music.

While life required him to work various jobs along the way, music was never a side project. It was always the destination. Today, Dave performs and writes music full-time, dedicating himself to preserving the authentic spirit of country music while bringing it to a new generation of listeners.

As the founder of Dave Stout & The Honky Tonk Revival, Dave's mission is simple: to bring back the sounds, stories, and soul of real honky-tonk country music.

His latest single, "Crossroads," draws inspiration from the legendary story of Robert Johnson and the folklore of artists selling their souls at a crossroads in exchange for fame. Dave's version tells a different story. Rather than choosing fortune and popularity, the song's narrator chooses authenticity, remaining faithful to his art and the music that made him who he is.
